What’s the last words or phrase you typed into Google? Perhaps you were looking for those
shoes you saw on TV but forgot the name of, or those half lyrics you remember from a song that
you really liked on the radio. Probably looked something like “marty mcfly shoes by NIKE”,
which is formally called the NIKE Air MAG. Whatever the phrase may be, we are all searching
for the nearest credible source to provide us with this information. Usually whatever you’re
searching for is found on the coveted first page of Google. If you’ve ever wondered what it takes
to be on the first page of Google, just ask yourself what your standard are for a website. Are you
getting all the information that you need? Does the site provide images of the content that you’re
looking for? Are things misspelled? Does the site deliver what it promises?

Rank on google

Even before getting on the first page of Google, you must first get their bot to take notice of your
site. It it is important to make sure your website contains relevant keywords in not only the title
of your website but also the text because Google will only post website domains that contain
words and phrases being searched. If you are choosing this organic approach (as opposed to
the paid approach) to having your website post on Google, other things to consider include your
quality of outbound and inbound links. Outbound links should be relevant to your website. For
example, if your website content is mainly about airplanes, your outbound links shouldn’t be
taking your readers to a website whose main content is about frogs. Google likes to see relevant
link exchanges that have something to do with you industry. Furthermore, inbound links are
related to sites that are more popular than yours that have content related to yours. These sites
will usually already be on the first page of Google but if you are linked to these higher profile
sites, it increases your chances of people looking for secondary information and your site will
not be far behind.

Having your website on the first page of Google is a key indicator that your content is well
written and you are giving your visitors the information they need to quench their intellectual
thirst. Google is constantly updating its site ranking which is why your website should
constantly be utilizing seo tactics to keep you ahead of your competitors.
